Palio

The Palio is a unique and refined decorative piece. It represents the tradition of the Palio di Siena, one of the oldest and most famous horse races in Italy. The galloping horse and its rider have been rendered with great mastery and precision, giving the work a realistic and visually striking effect. The papier-mâché is crafted with care and enriched with engravings of Renaissance motifs on gold, silver and copper leaf.
